Mihoko Kinoshita - Profile
Mihoko Kinoshita was born in Kagoshima in Japan.She completed both her Bachelor and Master's Degree at the Musashino Academy of Music. In 2001,she began studying abroad in Italy with Rotaly International Friendly Scholarship, the Recruit Scholarship and Rome music foundation Scholarship.
She has been awarded numerous preizes,including; Verdi International Vocal Competition in Busseto second place in 2005, Riccardo Zandonai International Vocal Competition second place in 2003, The Licia Albanese Puccini foundation Competition first place in 2007 and Santa Margherita Intarnational Vocal Comprtition first place in 2002.
In 2002 with conductor Seiji Osawa,then with Junichi Hirogami,she widely performed Don Giovanni(Donna Elvira). After that, in 2002 at the Santa Margherita Opera Festival she performed Madama Butterfly. She continued her outstanding performances of Madama Butterfly in 2003 at the Belgrade National Opera Theater, in the Tokyo-Bunka kaikan,and in 2004 at he Bulgarian Sofia Opera Festival , 2006 at the Sofia National Opera Theater. She was highly acclaimed at all performances.
Her other performances include the National Verdi Project in March 2005 where she performed the role of Leonora in Il Trovatore. In May she performed the role of Violetta in La Traviata.
In 2007-2008 she performs Mimi in La Boheme in sendai opera, Amelia in Un Ballo in Maschera in the Tokyo Bunkakaikan, and Verdi’s Requiem at the Spokane Symphony Orchestra, and Kansai Philhormonic Orchestra. She made concert at Tokyo,London, and New York.
She performes Violetta in La Traviata at the New Tokyo National Theater, and Britten War Requiem at he Gunma Philhormonic Orchestra. She resides in New York city.
